We’re excited to welcome David Richards as our new Chief Operating Officer, UK at AquaWatch.

David brings over 20 years’ experience in the water and environmental sector, leading large-scale, multidisciplinary programmes across the water industry, renewable energy, and regulatory environments.

He joins us at a pivotal time as we accelerate delivery in the UK and Europe, where demand for real-time water quality monitoring is rapidly scaling. David will work closely with Eoin Conroy and our growing Northern Hemisphere team to kick off several major UK projects, supporting utilities, regulators, and environmental partners.

They’ll be building out our global operations and helping AquaWatch deliver digitally enabled environmental consulting powered by SWIMS-OS — bringing real-time data, field insights, AI-driven analysis, and operational context into a single, defensible platform.

David puts it best:

“What pulled me in wasn’t just the tech — although I’m already pretty enamoured with it. It was the people. The team at AquaWatch are sharp, driven, and genuinely care about making a difference. Together, they’ve built innovative tools that give us new ways to see what’s happening in our water environment and how to protect it. My focus as COO is clear: help grow the business in the right way, keep operations fit for scale, deliver real value, and make sure quality runs through everything we do.”

This marks an important step as we deepen our worldwide footprint and commit to long-term delivery. You’ll see us, and David, at the ESS Conference and SWiG Conference, with more project updates rolling out from around the world.

Connected water management. Made real.
